[[Up in flames. ->Second]]
Oh, hello.
[[You're ->Who]] Here. Do you want some [[Tea?]]
Don't you [[remember? -> Memory]]
Suddenly, [[it all comes back to you. -> Memory 2]]
It was night. You woke up in your bed. It was warm. You got out of bed. You were thirsty, so you went [[downstairs -> Memory 3]]
There was a fire. There was a flash. You saw someone in the light... You wonder who it was.
You went over to your friends house to [[hang out. -> Snapout]]
You snap out of your reflections. Something about [[Tea?]]
"Sure," you say, "I'm mighty thirsty."
[["By the way, what's your name again?" -> name]]
[["So, how is your job?" -> job]]
[[Wait for Tea]]
"Sorry, I forgot we haven't seen in a while," said your friend. "It's Brian."
[["Ah, okay." ->Wait for Tea]]
(set: $name to 1)
"Oh, it's good. My friend got fired, but nothing else new has happened."
[["By the way, what's your name again?" -> name]]
[[Wait for Tea]]
(if: $name is 1)[Brian goes into the kitchen to get you some [[tea.]]] (if: $name is 0)[Your friend goes into the kitchen to get you some [[tea.]] "By the way," he says from the kitchen, "My name is brian. I knew you would forget."]
Brian walks back into the living room holding a teapot and two teacups. You take a sip of your tea.
[["I bet you're wondering why I'm here." -> tell]]
[["It's been a long time, brian." -> long]]
"Yeah," responds Brian, "I was wondering that." "Well," you say, "I think that..."
[["My house was on fire." -> fire]]
[["I am being haunted." -> ghost]]
"Yeah, it has." He looks into his cup of tea, as though he were looking through a mirror. "I have a question," he said after a long silence. "Is there a reason that you came here?"
[["For the sake of friendship." ->ending1]]
[["Actually, yes." -> tell]]
You begin to recite your [[story. -> fire2]]
"Really?" Brian's eyes widen. "What ghost do you think is haunting you?"
[[Tell him what happened -> ghost2]]
[[Attempt to put it aside -> ghost..]]
You two talk for a bit longer before you leave. As soon as you leave, you suddenly realise, "Where am I going to go? My house was burned down!" You turn back to Brian's house. It is engulfed in flame. You hear an illedgible wisper behind your left ear.
The mystery is not yet [[solved. -> badend]]

I made this on a night full of free time. I was done with NaNoWriMo, and I had writing withdrawl.
Sadly, you have not solved the mystery of Up in flames, so maybe you should [[Try again.|Start]]
You begin to recite you [[story. -> ghost3]]
"Never mind, I don't think I want to talk about it today." "Are you sure? I want you to be okay." Brian looks genuinely worried. "Its fine," you assure him, [["I'm okay."|ending1]]
It all started with [[The banging -> ghost4]]
It started with [[the smell. -> fire3]]
You were confused. It was dark. You had walked upstairs to investigate. When you arrived at the top of the stairs, you heard the noise of scraping. You turned the light on. Then you [[saw it. -> ghost5]]
You don't really remember what it looked like, but you do remember that it was terrifying. You ran out of the attic, screaming, into the kitchen. There was a fire in the kitchen, a flash, and you ran to [[Brian's house. -> ghost6]]
Brian stares at you for a second.
[["Are you okay?" -> ending3]]
[[Change the subject -> ending3]]
After some time, Brian's mouth opens.
What looks like pure darkness drips out, slowly.
Darkness envelops the room.
You try to scream, but nothing comes out of your mouth.
You feel the flames lick your body
You feel the flames consume you
You feel a thousand eyes watching you.
Your eyes, however, close, for what may be the [[last time. -> badend]]
It smelled of burnt hair and wood. You had gone downstairs to investigate. All you had seen before the fire had erupted in your house was a man, smiling wildly, holding a flamethrower. He had vanished without a trace before fire exploded in your kitchen. You had decided to run home to [[Brian's house. -> fire4]]
Brian thinks about this for a second. Out of the corner of your eye, you see a glisten of light. When you turn towards the small glisten, you see the metal tip of some kind of device sticking out of a closet. You turn back to Brian. He didn't seem to notice you noticing the device. He looks up, sees the glisten of light, and his eyes widen. He stands up, walks to the closet, closes the closet door, and turns back [[to you. -> fire5]]
He is smiling.
[[Run away -> run]]
[["What the hell is happening, Brian?" -> ending2]]
You bolt for the door and turn the handle. The door opens smoothly. You dash out. As soon as you deem it a safe distance, you look behind you. Brian's house is in flames. You walk back downtown and tell the police your story. This seems to be the explanation of all of the strange fires appearing all over town.
You made the right choise.
Sometimes at night, you still dream of Brian.
He sits in a chair at your house, grinning.
You always wake up in a sweat.
Now you know that police are after him.
Now you are safe.
[[For now. -> goodend]]
"You have seen too much." His smile widens even more until it is unnaturally large. You feel the flames come up from around you.
This is [[the end. -> badend]]
